Metrc Package Mapping US Only
Link each DabDash product and variation to its Metrc package label so sales and reconciliation report correctly.

Why mapping matters
Metrc tracks inventory by package tag. DabDash tracks inventory by product and variation. Mapping links the two — once a product is mapped to a package, every sale automatically reports against the correct Metrc package, and nightly reconciliation can compare the two systems.
You only map a product once. After that, the mapping is reused for every future sale of that product — you never have to pick a package again unless the product changes.
Auto-matched suggestions
DabDash compares your product names against your Metrc package item names and pre-fills a suggested match wherever it finds a confident one. Rows with a suggestion show a green Matched by name badge; rows with no confident match show an amber Needs a pick badge.
Review every suggestion before saving — auto-match is a starting point, not a guarantee. Adjust any pick that looks wrong using the package dropdown next to that row.
Weight products vs. unit variations
The page splits unmapped items into two sections, matching how DabDash tracks stock:
- Unmapped Products (Weight)
- Weight-family products (By Weight and Variation × Weight) share one gram pool per product. You map the whole product to a single Metrc package.
- Unmapped Variations (Unit)
- Unit-family products (Simple, By Unit, Variation × Unit) track stock per variation. Each variation gets its own Metrc package mapping.
The package picker for each row only shows packages whose Metrc unit of measure matches that product or variation's base unit, so you can't accidentally map a grams product to an each-counted package.
Saving your mappings
Pick a package for every row you want to map, then click Save Mappings. You don't have to map everything in one visit — save what you've confirmed and come back for the rest later. Products and variations disappear from this page once mapped.
Need to see what's already synced before you map? Check the Packages page first.
Tip: If a product you expect to see isn't listed, it's already mapped. Unmap it in Metrc directly if you need to change which package it points to.
